I think it’s so cool that the first wedding on the server was not one of the first paired groups for the egg event. Hear me out! I love those pairs, of course I do! They’re all wonderful, (foolish and vegetta, jaiden and roier, charlie and mariana, all pairs that i never expected to love so much but oh my god), there’s so many amazing interactions that would NEVER have happened if it weren’t for this event.
BUT! They were still paired up randomly* (or not randomly, depending on the theory you believe) by the federation to take care of the eggs. It was a part of the “egg event”, it was an “ooooh here’s a challenge, your pair has to be someone who speaks the other language!” It was very much a part of the event.
q!Cellbit and q!Roier met, by chance, and fell in love. No outside force, no federation, no secondary motives. Just them. And their choice to stay with each other.
